California’s former Governor Davis signed Senate Bill
800 (SB 800), also known as the “Fix It” Bill, into law
on September 20, 2002. SB 800 makes revisions to the substance and process
of the law governing construction defects for all residential construction
sold on or after January 1, 2003. California’s legislative information
