A three phase project, including thirteen office buildings, six manufacturing buildings, a product
a conference center, mechanical laboratories and chemical handling facilities, all totaling more
than a conference center, mechanical laboratories and chemical handling facilities, all totaling
more than 3,500,000 square feet of space on 160 acres in Northwest Harris County. Support
spaces include three central plants, fire pump houses, electrical switchyards and waste water
treatment buildings. The campus is located on a densely wooded site that maintains
indigenous landscaping, creates jogging trails and preserves native wildlife. All buildings
comply with energy responsive building design guidelines; share continuity in application of
materials, finishes and details; and are connected by a mile long secured "personnel spines"
for employees, and "material spines" for movement of product. COMPAQ Center East, a 744
acre tract across SH 249, has been planned, and includes six manufacturing / office /
laboratory buildings totaling more than 3,000,000 square feet. Support spaces and the
vehicular / pedestrian connection of campuses are currently being completed to allow for this
expansion.
