The distribution of snow across the land is governed by many factors: the quantity and quality of snow that falls, the elevation, the slope and sun angle, the temperature distribution during both day and night, the wind and shelter, and more. The architect working in snow country must consider each of these as well as their collective influence on the project to be designed and built.
